The master of observational comedy himself, Jerry Seinfeld, will perform Saturday evening at the Agua Caliente Resort and Spa, his only scheduled California stop this year.
The veteran standup, 65, first appeared on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” in 1981 and is known for his riffs on the minutiae of everyday life.
Teaming up with fellow comedian Larry David, he co-created “Seinfeld,” one of the most popular shows in the history of television, which ran from 1989 to 1998. The show celebrated the 30th anniversary of its premiere last year.
His current show, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” is in its 11th season and streams on Netflix.
Earlier this week, Seinfeld announced he would be publishing a comedy book, his first in more than 25 years, which is slated for release on Oct. 6.
He last performed in Southern California in August in Long Beach, and he has recently taken up a residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York City that runs through March.
Seinfeld takes the stage Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $150. For more information, see event.etix.com/ticket/online/performanceSale.do?performance_id=5737301&method=restoreToken.
