A convicted felon accused of possessing several guns and a variety of illegal drugs was arrested and remained jailed without bail Saturday.
Deputies served a search warrant at 1 p.m. Friday at a home in the 17000 block of Corkill Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Robert Ramos, 23, of Desert Hot Springs, who authorities said is a documented gang member, fled from the residence on foot when deputies arrived at the home.
Ramos was arrested after a short pursuit. Authorities said he had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for a parole violation.
Inside his home, deputies found three pistols, a revolver and an AR-15 rifle, along with several high-capacity magazines and ammunition, said Sgt. Paul Heredia.
Deputies also allegedly seized methamphetamine, several ecstasy pills and several Xanax pills.
Investigators later determined that one of the guns allegedly discovered in Ramos’ home had been reported stolen, according to Heredia.
Ramos was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on suspicion of several drug and firearm crimes.
